In today’s episode character and prop designer and returning guest Todd Favela shares his insights into the world of freelancing. We discuss taxes, health insurance, getting enough sleep, managing client expectations, how to NOT be a hermit, contracts and more. Join us and prepare yourself for your next freelance gig.

Ep. 065: Erik Perez – Production Assistant for Titmouse’s Little Big Awesome

Episode 065 of The Animated Journey Podcast features Titmouse production assistant Erik Perez! Growing up Perez spent his childhood watching shows on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon and drawing cartoons. He soon discovered that there were people behind the magic and enrolled at Cal State Fullerton, where he majored in animation. Soon after he interned at Nickelodeon Studio, and later became a production assistant for Titmouse’s Emmy award winning show, Nico and the Sword of Light and then later Little Big Awesome. In today’s episode Erik shares the importance of networking, taking notes and being open to new career paths.
